Thymosin Beta-4 fragment
Injury recoveryMuscle & performance
RouteSubcutaneous injection
+ Add to plan

Mechanism

A lab-made fragment of thymosin beta-4, and its whole job is getting cells to move where they need to go. Cell migration, new blood vessel growth, calmer inflammation, all routed through how it handles actin inside the cell. Technical, sure. The result is tissue that heals faster.

Key Benefit

Animal studies show accelerated wound healing, cardiac repair post-MI, and reduced fibrosis. Popular in equine medicine.

Evidence Base

Multiple animal studies back it up. Zero published human RCTs, not one. Sports medicine has been running on anecdote for years now.

Route & Rationale

Subcutaneous injection. Peptide requires parenteral delivery for systemic distribution to injured tissues.

Interactions

Theoretical interaction with anticoagulants (promotes angiogenesis). No confirmed drug interactions.

Regulatory Status

Not FDA-approved. Pulled from the FDA's Category 2 list in April 2026. A PCAC review is set for July 2026. WADA already has it banned.

Cautions
