CJC-1295
Mechanism
A GHRH analog with an upgrade bolted on: Drug Affinity Complex, DAC for short, stretching the half-life out to 6 to 8 days. Growth hormone comes out steady, not in some unnatural spike.
Key Benefit
Increases GH and IGF-1 levels dose-dependently. Improved body composition and sleep quality reported. Often combined with ipamorelin.
Evidence Base
Phase II human data shows GH goes up and the body tolerates it. That's where it stops: no phase III, no FDA submission on file.
Route & Rationale
Subcutaneous injection (1–2× weekly with DAC; daily without). Peptide requires SC delivery. DAC version extends half-life, reducing injection frequency.
Interactions
Monitor IGF-1. May alter glucose metabolism. Synergistic with ipamorelin.
Regulatory Status
Not FDA-approved. This is a GH secretagogue, and WADA bans those outright. Whether it can keep being compounded is sitting in front of a PCAC review right now.
Hard Contraindications
Cancer (active/history), Pregnancy/planning
